There are several modem drives supplied on the /PROTREE.UTIL/MODEMS disk.
To install the right modem for your system do the following:
1. Type "& AT0,A"
2. Type "BLOAD AMPERS.1"
3. Type "PREFIX /PROTREE.UTIL/MODEMS"
4. Type "CATALOG"
5. Select the proper modem, or if a serial modem is being used type the
name of the driver. I.E. "BLOAD NOVATION.212" for a Novation 1200 baud
modem driver.
6. Type "& AT 0,A"
7. Type "BSAVE AMPERS.1"
8. Then poke the slot that the modem or interface card is in by pokeing it
into location 806 and location 771. I.E. the modem is in slot 2, type
"POKE 806,2:POKE 771,2". After this is done, then type "BSAVE PAGE.3"
Well, that's all it takes. Be sure when doing this part of the installation
that you do the patches to a copy of your disk and not the orginal. This will
allow you to correct any mistakes you may have made durning this installation.
